I. Introduction and Data Controller

This consolidated Privacy, GDPR, and Cookies Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use www.jobbri.co.uk. We process personal data in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
II. Types of Data We Collect
From Job Candidates: Names, email addresses, passwords, educational and professional background, CV files, profile photos, and voluntary demographic information.
From Employers & Team Members: Company details, HR representatives' names and contacts, billing information, job descriptions, and data of invited sub-account users (Team Management).
From Service Providers (Gig Economy): Service descriptions, pricing, public contact details, and approximate locations provided for the Services Market.
Community Hub Data: User-generated content, including posts, comments, and interactions (likes, bookmarks) shared within industry-specific channels.
Automatically Collected Data: IP addresses, device types, browser information, log-in timestamps, and interactions with the platform (via Cookies and Facebook Pixel).
Biometric/Visual Data: If a Candidate chooses to use our Video CV feature or complete a One-Way Video Task, we process and host audio-visual recordings.
III. How We Use Your Data (The Processing)
Your data is used to provide our core services—connecting Candidates with Employers and facilitating professional networking.
Account Management: To create and secure your profile, manage Jobbri Coins (JBC) wallets, and process applications or service market requests.
AI Processing: We use secure third-party AI APIs (e.g., Google Gemini) to extract text from CVs, generate match scores, and summarize industry news. These third-party APIs are strictly restricted from using your personal data to train public AI models.
Video CV Hosting: We store your video recordings on our secure servers. Employers can view these videos only if you apply to their job or if your profile is unlocked.
Job Alerts & Communications: To send automated email notifications based on your saved job search criteria (Job Alerts) and followed companies.
Talent Pools: To allow verified employers to securely bookmark and organize candidate profiles for future recruitment.
IV. Sharing Data and Employer Responsibilities
Jobbri is a platform provider. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Employers as Data Controllers: Once an Employer receives your application, saves your profile in their Talent Pool, or unlocks your profile, that Employer legally becomes an independent Data Controller of your personal data. Employers are bound by our Terms to use this data solely for recruitment purposes.
Public/Community Sharing: Information you voluntarily post in the Community Hub or the Services Market is visible to other registered users. Please exercise caution when sharing personal details in public forums.
Service Providers: We share data with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., Stripe for secure payments, secure EU/UK-based cloud hosting) under strict confidentiality agreements.
V. Cookies and Facebook Pixel
Jobbri uses cookies and tracking technologies to optimize your experience:
Essential Cookies: Required for logging in, security (preventing unauthorized access), and core platform functionality.
Facebook Pixel: We use Meta's tracking tools to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. You can opt out of Facebook Pixel tracking by adjusting your browser cookie preferences.
VI. Data Retention Periods
Active Accounts: We retain your profile data, CVs, and Video CVs as long as your account is active.
Employer Dashboards: To comply with data minimization, CVs and candidate data received by Employers will be automatically removed from the Employer's Jobbri dashboard 6 (six) months after the application or unlock date.
Deleted Accounts: If you delete your account (via the Danger Zone settings), your personal data, videos, and active job alerts are permanently purged from our active servers within 30 days. Community posts may be anonymized or deleted.
Logs: Application sending logs and system security logs (IP, Date, Time) are retained for 1 (one) year. Financial records and invoices are retained for up to 10 years as required by tax laws.
VII. Your GDPR Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Delete your account and files permanently from our servers.
Rectification: Update inaccurate data directly in your dashboard.
Portability: Download your data in a structured format.
